The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson to be Adapted for the Big Screen..



News of the project was confirmed after Paramount acquired the rights to Erik Larson's true crime bestselling novel : The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic and Madness At The Fair That Changed America. In a competitive auction, the studio outbid Universal and FOX to secure the rights.


Leonardo DiCaprio will star in the adaptation and will portray Dr HH Holmes, a serial killer who murdered hundreds of victims at his World's Fair Hotel in Chicago, nicknamed the 'Murder Castle'. The structure featured a gas chamber, dissection table and a crematorium.The movie will be directed by Martin Scorsese.

DiCaprio and Scorsese last worked together on 2013's The Wolf of Wall Street, but their working relationship now stretches over more than a decade. Between Gangs of New York, The Aviator, The Departed, Shutter Island, and Wolf.
