James Foley has been officially offered to direct sequel to the blockbuster erotic drama "Fifty Shades of Grey."

"Fifty Shades of Grey" director, Sam Taylor-Johnson left the project in May over the creative differences with the book author E.L. James. Ever since then, "Fifty Shades Darker" was sailing without any director. "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie had earned over $560 million worldwide. The film has remained a big part of Universal Picture's box-office success in 2015.

There are still three key characters that are yet to cast. The casting is still open for obsessive boss Jack Hyde, former submissive Leila Williams and Mrs Robinson. "Fifty Shades Darker" will be the first movie from "Fifty Shades" franchise to highlight these three main story characters.

Jamie Dornan will return in his role of billionaire Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson will be playing the role of Anastasia Steele. "Fifty Shades Darker" opens in US on February 10th, 2017.
