Anna Kendrick gets a book deal..

anna kendrik

The book publishing industry thinks Anna Kendrick's tweets are worth more than 140 characters. (Her latest tweet to make news calls for male nudity on Game of Thrones.)

Now the actress (Up in the Air, Pitch Perfect, Twilight) has been signed by Touchstone to write a collection of funny, autobiographical essays that will expand "upon the witty and ironic dispatches for which she is known," the publisher said. The yet-to-be-titled book will be published in fall 2016.

Kendrick, 29, will discuss "memorable moments throughout her life," from her middle-class upbringing in New England to making it in Hollywood.

"I'm excited to publish my first book, and because I get uncomfortable when people have high expectations, I'd like to use this opportunity to showcase my ineptitude, pettiness, and the frequency with which I embarrass myself," Kendrick said in a news release. "And while many of my female inspirations who have become authors are incredibly well-educated and accomplished comedy writers, I'm very, very funny on Twitter, according to Buzzfeed and my mom, so I feel like this is a great idea. Quick question: are run-on sentences still frowned upon? Wait, is ending a sentence with a preposition still frowned upon? I mean, upon frowned? Dammit!"

Touchstone publisher Susan Moldow called Kendrick "the rare entertainer whose impressive arsenal of talents is equally matched by her sharp wit and wry observations about life."
