Superhero series addicts can finally get their first glimpse of the new "Supergirl." which was confirmed by CBS to be released this fall.
The TV network has announced that the highly anticipated Greg Berlanti-produced superhero series will finally debut on October 26. A teaser video, which showed Melissa Benoist as Kara Zol-Er or Supergirl, was posted on Twitter. The clip pictured Benoist holding a card across her chest that said, "10/26/15" that she then put down to reveal herself wearing her superhero costume.
"Supergirl" is CBS' first dive into the superhero trend that most TV networks have produced. Berlanti is also behind other successful comic book adapted TV shows such as "The Flash" and "Arrow."
Joining Benoist are Calista Flockhart, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh and David Harewood. Dean Cain and Helen Slater will also appear in the upcoming show.
For the first episode, "Supergirl" will start right after a new episode from "The Big Bang Theory" at 8:30 p.m., wrote TV Line. It will then move to its original time slot of 8 p.m. beginning November 2.
