Diana Gabaldon`s Outlander adapted for Television!!

Despite being filmed and set in Scotland, the TV series has so far only been enjoyed by fans outside the UK. In the USA, it won the 2015 People’s Choice Awards for Favorite Cable Sci Fi/Fantasy TV Show as well as the Critics' Choice Television Award for Most Exciting New Series.

Outlander is based on the novel series by Diana Gabaldon and follows the story of Claire Randall, a WWII combat nurse on her honeymoon in Inverness who is transported back in time from 1945 to 1743. Trapped in the past, Claire becomes embroiled in the battles between Highlander rebels and the Redcoats, is suspected of being an English spy and is pursued by a menacing ancestor of her husband’s: Black Jack Randall, Captain of His Majesty's Dragoons.

The first eight episodes – which were broadcast in the US last autumn – will be available for binge watching on Thursday 26 March, before switching to the old school format of one episode a week for the remainder of the series. These will be available each Sunday from 5 April, just hours after each is broadcast in the US.
