Girl with Dragon Tattoo series sequel to hit bookstores in August..

The adventures of Stieg Larsson's cyberpunk hacker heroine Lisbeth Salander will continue this summer.

The first sequel to Larsson's bestselling Millennium trilogy, which began with The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, has been completed by fellow Swedish author David Lagercrantz and is slated to hit bookstore shelves on August 27.

Lagercrantz took over the saga after Larsson died of a heart attack in 2004 at age 50. The fast-paced crime/thriller novels are hugely popular and inspired several critically acclaimed film adaptations by both Swedish and American studios.

Lagercrantz's first foray into the series is called That Which Does Not Kill, and will go on sale in at least 35 countries. The books have sold nearly 80 million copies, according to publisher Norstedts.
